This weeks temperatures will be higher than we've seen in what seems like decades. It has been a steadily cold winter, which I think is a good sign of a great growing season to come.
We already have tomatoes, peppers, red Italian onions, basil, broccoli, cabbage, celery, and fennel started inside. I'll be moving it out to the greenhouse some this week and weekend and more and more as we get closer to the past frost date for our zone.
What does this means for our CSA Members? A lot of great veggies come June. We have some really great lettuce seed in that I'm anxious to get started. We will have a lot more potatoes and tomatoes this year. The sweet corn should do much better as well.
I expect to also have some strawberries ready for our opening month of June!!
